Mother’s Day Table Styling & Breakfast Ideas Made Easy

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, I wanted to take a moment to put together a simple yet beautiful table—one that’s easy to prep and full of charm. Whether you’re hosting brunch, dinner, or a small gathering, this setup is sweet, affordable, and easy to recreate. All the links to the items I used can be found below!

Mother’s Day Table Inspiration: DIY Decor and Budget-Friendly Tips

What I used for this table setup:

  • Faux florals (linked below)
  • Lace tablecloth
  • DIY napkin bows (ribbon + disposable napkins)
  • Gold-toned disposable cutlery and plates

For the centerpiece, I chose these beautiful faux pink and purple flowers. At the end of the meal, they can be gifted to the moms at your table or repurposed to bring a touch of spring into your home. To keep the table feeling light and open, I picked smaller stems that allow guests to easily see each other, while still adding a whimsical touch. Larger centerpieces are beautiful, but they often get pushed aside during the meal so guests can chat comfortably. Using faux flowers also means you can buy them well in advance, so there’s one less thing on your to-do list the day before Mother’s Day.

This lacy tablecloth is our Sunday tablecloth, but I’ve found similar ones on Amazon! I used disposable napkins and ribbon to make this bow, which adds so much whimsy and charm to the table. This table decor could easily be used for a ladies’ tea, a baby shower, or any special occasion. Here’s a video tutorial on how to make them!

The gold knives and forks tie in nicely with the plates, and spending just a bit more on well-made utensils adds a touch of elegance and helps avoid any mid-meal mishaps. Using all disposable plates also makes cleanup quick and easy. And if you don’t have a large matching set, or simply don’t have enough plates for all your guests, paper plates are a great way to serve a crowd with ease.

If you’d like to recreate this look, I’ve linked everything I used below—easy, affordable, and full of charm.

Mother’s Day Breakfast Menu: Simple, Sweet, and Full of Love

Mother’s Day Breakfast Menu:

  • Pancakes (toaster or homemade)
  • Fresh seasonal strawberries
  • Nutella (for drizzling or dipping!)
  • Whipped cream (optional, but encouraged)
  • Fresh-squeezed orange juice

Pancakes, fruit, and Nutella—that’s my ultimate Mother’s Day breakfast. It’s easy, cozy, and honestly, what more could you want?

I love pancakes and they’re something Dad can handle without too much fuss. In fact, I’m a fan of toaster pancakes—especially when life is a little extra full. Last year, I had a newborn on Mother’s Day, and that was definitely a toaster pancake kind of morning. And you know what? It was perfect.

This year, we’re stepping it up just a touch with a fruit board, pancakes, and a drizzle of Nutella. Strawberries are just coming into season, and nothing says Mother’s Day quite like chocolate and strawberries for breakfast.

If you want to make it feel a little fancier, serve it with a dollop of whipped cream or a glass of orange juice. We love making our own orange juice—it makes the morning feel extra special.

Of course, the best part of Mother’s Day morning isn’t even on the plate—it’s being woken up by a flower picked by tiny hands. Extra special if it’s a wildflower (or, let’s be honest, a weed) with a bug still crawling on it. That’s the kind of love you can’t buy.

This breakfast is simple, heartfelt, and best of all—it leaves the kitchen clean.

To all the mothers—
Whether you’re in the thick of raising little ones, watching your grown children chase dreams, or mothering in quiet, unseen ways—your love, strength, and presence make the world softer and brighter. I hope this simple table inspires a celebration that reminds you just how loved and appreciated you are.

Wishing you a beautiful, joy-filled Mother’s Day. 💐
